May I Design

Yesterday Mr Postman delivered a HUGE box to my door and I couldn't wiat to get it open because I knew these pretties were inside.
They are hand painted by a very talented lady called Meg. You can find her on Facebook, just search for May I Design and she also has a website ... www.mayidesign.co.uk but it's not up and running yet.
Meg is happy to paint any design for you on either wine glasses, champagne flutes or tumblers.
Here is a close up of the button & cupcake designs ...

The button tumblers are all mine and the cupcake wine glasses are for my mom because she fell in love with them when she saw them but she will have to wait for santa to deliver them before she can use them.

Please visit Meg, you won't be disappointed.
She is closed for christmas orders but she does have some buy it now items available.

Snow And Ice

I had a very eventfull morning. 1st off my ice scraper broke half way through clearing my car windscreen so I had to sit there for 5 minuets waiting for the ice on the outside and INSIDE to melt. When I was finally able to see through the windscreen I was unable to get up the drive. My driveway is a little slope, not very steep and I've never had a problem getting up it in the snow but this morning I got stuck half way up. So after 10 minuets of wheel spinning, rolling backwards and getting very irritated I gave up and abandoned my car at the bottom of the drive and jump in my moms car. Thinking that a Vauxhall Zafera would handle the snow and ice better than a Renault Megane I set off for school, at this point the kids were already 10 minuets late. Got the kids to school 20 minuets late but got there in 1 piece. On the way back I was approaching a junction and breaked very slowly to avoid skidding but instead of stopping I carried on sliding across the road. All I can say is I'm so glade no cars were coming.
What a morning. Usually I love the snow but this morning I hated it and can't wait for it to melt.
Take care out there every-one.

Dottery Pottery

Todays delivery was 2 gorgeous ceramic christmas tree decorations made by the lovely Sarah at Dottery Pottery. These were purchased through a forum called Little Lost Lushies and every year they have a charity market. This years charity is for SANDS. I tried to purchase a little something off every-one selling in the market and these 2 goodies arrived this morning.

They really are stunning and I cant wait to hang them on my christmas tree when it goes up this weekend. I also have another 4 angels on order to give my children's teachers as christmas presents. Dottery Pottery also do many personalised items and is always happy to help.

Nail Polish Stash

Yesterday was the day for nail polish deliveries.
First to be opened was my mom's order from Beautyzone2007 from ebay. Even though this seller is in America the longest I have waited for an order to arrive is 5 working days and you have to agree that it's fantastic service. Her polishes are a fraction of the price of hight street stores and postage costs are usually around $12. Just make sure you request an invoice total before paying other wise postage will be very expensive.
So here's what arrived ...
Left to right ..

O.P.I ~ Simmer & Shimmer
O.P.I. ~ A Rose A Dawn, Broken By Noon
O.P.I ~ Tease-y Does It
O.P.I ~Show It & Glow It
Also showing on the pic is another George (asda) polish which I will review very soon.

The 2nd package opened contained an order from http://www.feeluniqe.com/ and contained 3 Nubar polishes. Again a received fantastic service. They arrived within 5 working days and best of all postage is free.

Left to right ..

Purple Rain Glitter
Greener
Night Sparkle

I've not yet tested any of these but they all look gorgeous.

Thank You Mr Postman

Yesterdays post consisted of these gorgeous flower cabochons. These blooming flowers are the best seller in my Folksy shop and as soon as I list anything to do with these flowers they fly straight back out. Usually I only have the colours purple, teal or pink in stock but I managed to find some new colours from America and here they are ...
Lilac, Red & Yellow and I have to say the red are stunning.
Here they are made into hair clips and earrings.

More goodies can be found in my folksy shop, please stop by.

NOTD ~ George ~ Confusion

So here is todays manicure.

It is George Confusion. 2 coats have been applied. Sorry about how dark it is. It's pretty dark all over my house so I will take some better pics tomorrow. If you look closely at my ring finger you will see a little pattern.

Again not a great pic. I used Konad plate M77 and Barry M Boots Limited Edition Polish. As you can see it gives a very subtle pattern. I absolutly love this, it has to be my favourit mani so far.

George Nail Polishes

So here is my 1st review and it is on George (from Asda) nail polishes. I found the new George make up range at my local Asda yesterday so I just had to treat myself to some of the nail polishes. At just £1.50 each they are a bargin so who can resist?
So below are the swatches of the 4 colours I purchased.
Left to right ... Jackpot, Mysterious, Indigo Dazzle & Confusion

Jackpot .. This is a very fine silver glitter. Ideal if you want descrete nails or I think it would be great to use over the top of a colour to give it some extra sparkle. I used 4 coats on my clean nail just to try to get the sparkle to show on the photo.
Mysterious.. A lovely purple with a hint of metallic. I found this 1 a little bit bitty but it gave great coverage and only needed 2 coats to totally cover the nail.
Indigo Dazzle .. Gorgeous indigo colour with very fine glitter to give it a lovely shimmer. I think this is my favourit of the 4. It did need 3 coats but for £1.50 it wouldn't matter if it needed 4. When the natural light hits this it gives a lovely blend of indigo and purple with the fine glitter giving it a lovely sparkle. Great to use on a night out.
Confusion .. This is a lovely deep magenta/purple/red. Very hard to describe but it is really nice. I only needed 2 coats with this 1 and it gave really good coverage. This is my 2nd favourit.

Overall review .. There are some lovely colours in the collection with a wide variety to suit every-one. The brushes are a good size and what you would expect for the price and for just £1.50 each who can grumble? I can't wait to try some of the other colours in the collection.
